Taking a step back, we have a couple readings to round out our semester. The first, around the topic of the year:
-
Why A.I. Isn’t Going to Make Art
Ted Chiang, 2024
-
Why A.I. Isn’t Going to Make Art

Finish up your landing pages!
Our only hard requirements here are your name and links to all of your projects. The rest is up to you—and we want to encourage you to manifest your own design aesthetic and personality in these.
They are—as we’ve mentioned—what we reference and send out for alumni past. So the more you and the more interesting, the better! It’s small; make it fun. Play us your one song.
And if all that doesn’t matter to you, we’ll remind you these are evaluated as part of your ongoing exercises (10% of your overall grade)—and most of you didn’t turn anything in last time!
-
You can re-submit Project 4 for re-evaluation!
As we did in the fall, we are going to allow you to revisit these for a (maximum) one-letter bump to their previous mark. (They are worth 20% of your grade.) To earn this, we’ll want to see you meaningfully improving them and addressing the feedback you were given.
-
You’ll submit both of these to the form, as usual:
Due the morning of Monday, May 12!
